Not every good opportunity is the right opportunity.

A market may look attractive and an idea may appear full of potential, but deciding to move forward requires more than a strong first impression.

When we look at a new opportunity, the question is not only: can this work?

The more important question is: does it fit the direction we are building?

We look at the market, competition, customer needs, the complexity of execution, and whether there is a real opportunity to create distinction rather than simply enter an available space.

We also consider how the opportunity relates to what already exists. Does it add a new capability? Open a meaningful market? Strengthen the wider Group?

Some opportunities look impressive on paper but demand more than the value they can realistically create. Others may begin on a smaller scale while offering genuine room to grow.

That is why we are not interested in pursuing the greatest number of opportunities.

We are interested in identifying the ones worth taking forward
